General information

Services for American Citizens at the U.S. Embassy are available Monday and Thursday from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, except U.S. and Mongolian holidays. Starting 1 September, 2011, services are being provided by appointment only. To make an appointment please visit the U.S. Citizens Services Appointment System.  

Your appointment password is not retrievable.  Remember to write/copy your password from the “Appointment Details" screen in case you need to change or cancel your appointment.  Please be aware that we are unable to retrieve your password for you.

After you have scheduled an appointment, please remember to write down your automatically generated password in order to edit or cancel your appointment in the future.  (Note: You do not need to bring your appointment confirmation page to enter the U.S. Embassy as long as you have scheduled an appointment online.) 

** Please note that the Consular Section cannot discuss Immigrant or Non-Immigrant visa issues during American Citizen hours.   See the relevant sections of our webpage for information on these services.

    In case of an actual emergency involving a US citizen, please call the Embassy at 976-11-7007-6001 if it is during regular business hours (8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday). If it is after business hours, on weekends or holidays, please contact the Embassy duty officer at 99114168. If you are calling from the US, please dial 976-99114168.
