Notaries

Consistent with U.S. law and State Department policy, U.S. Consular Officers may provide specific notarial services for any person regardless of nationality so long as the document being notarized is required for use within the jurisdiction of the United States.

We process requests for notarial services between the hours of 1:00 and 3:00 p.m., every Monday and Thursday, except U.S. and Mongolian holidays.

The current fee for a notarial service is $30.00. Each additional notarial service provided at the same time in connection with the same transaction is $20.00. Fees must be paid in cash (U.S. dollars or Mongolian tugrugs - the payment must be made entirely in dollars, or entirely in tugrugs. No combination of currencies will be accepted).

For more information on notarial services please visit:

http://travel.state.gov/law/notarial_authentication.html or contact the Consular Section at the U.S. Embassy in Ulaanbaatar.
