Board of Directors for the Millennium Challenge Account – Mongolia Holds its First Meeting

The Millennium Challenge Account – Mongolia Board of Directors held its first official meeting at Government House on Thursday, April 3 to discuss and approve next steps essential in implementing Mongolia’s Millennium Challenge Compact. 

The Board of Directors, chaired by the Prime Minister and made up of Ministers of Finance, Construction and Urban Development; Health; Education, Science and Culture; and Roads, Transportation and Tourism; as well as one representative of the private sector and two representatives of civil society, approved organizational and other important MCA-Mongolia documents and discussed background and qualifications of candidates for executive positions in the MCA-Mongolia Secretariat, which, once established, will manage the day to day implementation of the Compact.
