POSITION: When Actually Employed Janitress (FSN-1)

WORK HOURS: On-call basis
The American Embassy in Ulaanbaatar is seeking an individual for the position of Janitress, When Actually Employed.
BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION
Duties will be cleaning offices, storerooms, corridors, stairways and other areas. S/he keeps restrooms in clean, orderly and sanitary condition. Manages cleaning material and equipment needed to do the work; uses strong chemical cleaning solutions. Performs cleaning and serving duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
NOTE: All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item.
a. Education: Completion of Elementary school is required. General knowledge of cleaning items and their safe use and the ability to read and understand labeling on the cleaning products are required
b. Prior Work Experience: One to two years of cleaning experience is required.
c. Language Proficiency: Level I Rudimentary Reading/Speaking English is required.
d. Skills and Abilities: Ability to clean thoroughly and efficiently. Ability to follow oral instruction from supervisor.
ADDITIONAL CRITERIA
1. Management will consider nepotism/conflict of interest, budget, and residency status in determining successful candidacy.
2. Current employees serving a probationary period are not eligible to apply.
3. Current employees with an Overall Summary Rating of Needs Improvement or Unsatisfactory on their most recent Employee Performance Report are not eligible to apply.
4. Currently employed US Citizen EFMs who hold a FMA appointment are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment.
5. The candidate must be able to obtain and hold a security clearance.
SELECTION PROCESS
When equally qualified, US Citizen Eligible Family Members (AEFMs) and U.S. Veterans will be given preference. Therefore, it is essential that the candidate address the required qualifications above in the application.
