American Citizen Services
The Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia is at the service of American citizens residing and traveling in Mongolia. The Embassy is located just off of Big Ring Road in the 11th Micro-district, next to the Laotian Embassy. For information about specific consular services or to register with the Embassy please see the links on the left.
American Citizen Services are available Mondays and Thursdays, between the hours of 1:00 and 3:00 PM, or by appointment.

For emergencies after regular business hours, involving U.S. citizens, please contact the Embassy Duty Officer at 976-99114168.
For information about Mongolian visas, Mongolian immigration information, or Mongolian registration requirements, please visit the website the Mongolian Government’s Office of Immigration, Naturalization and Foreign Citizens. Please be advised the US Embassy cannot assist you with visa applications or intercede on your behalf should you have a problem with a Mongolian visa.

For questions or concerns regarding the “no fly list” or problems resulting from passenger screening, please contact the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). DHS does have a redress process for reviewing the request of an individual traveler to be clearly identified as not the target of the lookout.Travelers can request an audit of their case by completing and signing the redress request form located at http://www.dhs.gov/trip and following the website instructions for submitting it to DHS.
