US Embassy Press Statement – Totally False Article about the United States in Zuuny Medee’s December 11 Issue

The US Embassy is disappointed by the lack of professionalism displayed by Zuuny Medee in a December 11 page-three article about a Mongolian convicted of multiple crimes during his stay in the United States.  It is the responsibility of the press to check facts and consult various sources before printing stories.  Unfortunately, Zuuny Medee did not consult the US Embassy or US law enforcement officials before printing a misleading article full of false information.  The Embassy hopes Zuuny Medee and other media organizations will aspire to a higher level of journalism, which would better serve the Mongolian people.
