U.S. President George W. Bush Visits Mongolia

On November 21, 2005, President Bush visited Ulaanbaatar. During his historic visit, the first ever to Mongolia by a sitting U.S. President, President Bush addressed the Mongolian people; met with the Mongolian President and Prime Minister; met with a Mongolian herder family; and enjoyed a Mongolian cultural performance.

Photographs of the visit can be seen by visiting the White House website.  (Click on the highlighted link to be taken directly to the photoessay on the Mongolia visit).

On the occasion of the visit the United States and Mongolia issued a Joint Statement.

A copy of President Bush's address to the Mongolian people can be seen here
