U.S. Embassy Clean Up in cooperation with MNE and Sukhbaatar District in Honor of the Nature and Environment Protection Month

On May 13,  the United States Embassy in Ulaanbaatar  sponsored a volunteered clean up of the river Selbe in front of the Embassy in honor of the Nature and Environment Protection Month. The clean up was co-sponsored from the Ministry of Nature and Environment, the Sukhbaatar District government, MCS Company, and the US Embassy’s Foreign Service National Employee Association

For the past two years, the Embassy has sponsored this cleanup to coincide with Earth Day in late April.  This year, to show embassy’s community spirit and solidarity with its Mongolian neighbors in Sukhbaatar, the embassy shifted the dates to coincide with clean up efforts taking place throughout the district and city. Around 150 people total participated from the embassy and the above organizations, and the embassy thanks those for their great job.
