Ulaanbaatar-Denver Sister City Partnership Promotes Sister Schools

On Tuesday April 18, U.S. Embassy Chargé D'Affaires Brian Goldbeck attended the Ulaanbaatar-Denver Sister School Opening Ceremony which was held at the Future Complex School in Songino Khairkhan District.  MP Oyun and Khaan Bank CEO Peter Morrow officially opened the program and used the new Internet connections to exchange emails with Mongolian students in another partner school in Mandalgobi.  The Future Complex School's Director, English teachers and students attended and participated in the event.

The project was planned by the Ulaanbaatar-Denver Sister City organization and received substantial financial and logistical assistance from the Khaan Bank.  Students in Ulaanbaatar and Mandalgobi will use the computers and Internet connection to communicate with students in Denver.  People interested in more information on the Ulaanbaatar-Denver Sister City connection can visit the official Denver Sister Cities International website: http://www.denversistercities.org/ulaanbaatar.php
