  • Call for Proposals: Democracy Small Grants Program

    The U.S. Department of State is pleased to announce a small grants initiative to support the spread of democratic principles. Non-governmental and not-for-profit organizations are eligible to apply for this grant. The U.S. Embassy is now accepting proposals for between $10,000 and $20,000 for programs which promote democratic practices and principles. 

  • Sealed–Bid Sale Invitation

    The U.S. Embassy in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia is announcing a SEALED-BID SALE of USED VEHICLES. The vehicles listed below will be available for inspection and for sale at the parking lot outside of the Embassy, on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 between 9:30 and 12:00.  

  • Ambassador Addleton's Op-Ed on World Press Freedom Day

    May 3 is World Press Freedom Day, an important event that is marked in different ways around the world. For example, this year UNESCO will observe the day with special commemorations in Tunisia, the country that gave birth to the Arab Spring.

    On this World Press Freedom Day, the United States honors the role of a free press in creating sustainable democracies and prosperous societies. We pay special tribute to those journalists who have sacrificed their lives, freedom or personal well-being in pursuit of truth and justice. 

  • The U.S. Embassy in Ulaanbaatar is seeking an individual for the position of General Engineer-Architect

    The General Engineer-Architect (GEA) shall provide professional engineering-architectural services in support of the project. The GEA shall inspect construction; review plans; recommend approval of shop drawings and submittals; maintain a daily log of construction activities; develop change orders including preparing cost estimates; and other construction engineering-architectural duties related to the Embassy Ulaanbaatar renovation project as directed by the Project Director.

    Thank you for the opportunity to participate in this ceremony marking the launch of an exhibit organized to help commemorate the 25th anniversary of bilateral relations between the United States and Mongolia.
